Fishhook Removal Kit

A must for every fishing tackle box. The kit includes a tri-fold brochure titled “How to Remove Fishhooks from People” which gives step by step instructions of four different methods to remove fishhooks easily and safely, and how to properly care for and clean a fishhook wound. An exclusive Fishhook Removal String is also included in each kit, as well as the first aid supplies needed when you become hooked. Some experienced fishermen use our favorite hook removal method, the string method, to extract hooks. Most often they use fishing line as the ‘string’. This creates a problem when the hook is jerked, because it can fly 10 feet or more, and can end up causing further injuries. Our Fishhook Removal String is actually a 1/4” wide cotton mesh, and will usually snag the barb in the mesh, minimizing the potential for further injury.

This product was developed with medical consultants for up-to-date information and to emphasize safety. It provides clear and accurate instructions on how to remove fishhooks, and when to seek medical care.

Check out the related video Accidently Hooked DVD: A Guide to Human Fishhook Removal and be fully prepared the next time someone in your fishing party gets “accidentally hooked”.
